Who we are

LCIF3 is a venture capital co-investment fund supporting ambitious SMEs that are developing technologies, products or services capable of generating positive economic and environmental impact. Investments can be made in eligible small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

LCIF3 is backed by the fund originally provided by the European Regional Development Fund. The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is an investment programme part financed by the European Union.

The LCIF3 programme is operated under the authority of the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG). LCIF3 is part of the UK Government’s portfolio of business support products.

LCIF3 is operated by the University of East Anglia (UEA), a leading UK university and the recipient of the original ERDF grant that started the LCIF initiative.

LCIF3 is managed by Turquoise International, UK’s longest established merchant bank with a 24-year track record in investment management and corporate finance transactions in Climate Technologies. Turquoise also manages the LCIF1 and LCIF2 portfolios.
